The project “Queer in the Dual System” strengthens the visibility, acceptance, and equal opportunities of queer people in vocational training and within the dual vocational training system. The project aims to bring the topic of gender equality more prominently into training contexts and to create safe spaces for queer trainees.

At the heart of the communication strategy was the development of a consistent, modern corporate design that makes diversity visible and conveys a strong identity. The design process began with the creation of the logo and corporate identity (CI). The result is a design that appeals to both training companies and queer learners – open, respectful, and inclusive.

A key element of the visual concept is the website www.queerinderausbildung.de. It is intended to serve as an information and networking platform for queer trainees, trainers, and companies alike. The web design was implemented with accessibility in mind and combines structure, lightness, and color.

In addition, individual illustrations were created to support the project on various levels. The title illustration conveys the central message – diversity and equality in vocational training. It depicts diverse individuals in learning situations, in workshops or offices, united by the shared goal of an inclusive education system.

Another design element is the team’s portrait illustrations. Instead of traditional photographs, the illustrative approach creates a personal yet stylized representation.

A set of icons was also developed for digital communication. These pictograms help to present content in a structured way and enhance user-friendliness. Their style and color scheme align with the overall brand identity and contribute to the project’s clear recognition.

The design is also present in the analog world: promotional materials such as flyers and roll-up banners were created for events and workshops.
