Conference “Verstehen verbindet”

On September 25, 2025, I did a graphic recording to visually document the conference „Verstehen verbindet – Dolmetschen und Mehrsprachigkeit für faire Chancen“ (“Understanding Connects – Interpreting and Multilingualism for Equal Opportunities.”) The event brought together early childhood educators, interpreters, and leaders of early childhood education programs in Hamburg to discuss strategies for successful communication and the practice of multilingualism.

My graphic recording captured the key takeaways from the presentations and workshops—from Prof. Dr. Karim Fereidooni, Prof. Dr. Bernd Meyer, and Prof. Dr. Drorit Lengyel, covering topics such as collaboration with interpreters and strategies for how daycare centers can effectively promote multilingualism. The result is a vibrant visual summary of the conference, making the core messages and atmosphere of the day readily apparent.
